Zignals Trading Strategies That Work; March 19th

While the Nasdaq 100 was able to close at the upper range of Wednesday's bearish shooting star (not yet negating it but shorts will be sweating; if its high is taken out it will bring with it short covering buying) it's the semiconductor index which perhaps is the index to watch today. In a recovery environment the semiconductor index typically leads the Nasdaq and Nasdaq 100 higher, but in the current market it's lagging both indices. It's push to $28 is perhaps the peak for the Feb-Mar advance with the CCI rebounding off 165 resistance; look for some easing back to $26-27 over the next few days. From there it will depend on whether the Nasdaq and Nasdaq 100 can hold their respective breakouts and help pull the semiconductor index "over the wall" of $28.50 resistance.
